Stiffer Penalties for Identity Theft on the Elderly

Great news! Acccording to All Headline News Media Corp,
Tallahassee, FL (AHN) - If you steal someone's identity in Florida, you may be charged with a third-degree felony, punishable by up to five years in prison. But if you steal the identity of someone over the age of 65, you risk being charged with a first-degree felony and up to 30 years in prison. It's not the law yet, but if some state legislators have their way, it soon will be.

This is the worst (most despicable) type of financial crime. I'm surprised laws like this haven't been enacted on this, nationwide.
