Identity Theft Secrets Uncovers Lazy PR at SSA
Posted on Nov 15, 2006 by Tom Fragala
In a recent post (see here), I opined about the Social Security Administration's apparent cluelessness over phishing scams. Well, Jonathan Kraft at Identity Theft Secrets really went the full nine yards. He discovered that the SSA was just recycling a press release from February--with the identical quote from the outraged SSA Commissioner. Over in the comments on my post, he links to a video he created exposing this. You gotta check it out (just a couple minutes long). Jonathan, my hat off to you, that's some serious sleuthing. I appreciate the contribution to the conversation. (You should upload it to YouTube.)

Thanks for the suggestion I will put it on YouTube! Good idea. Thanks again for sending it in the first place.
Warm Regards,
